Katie Mitchell is a native of Southern Indiana and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Purdue University in 2001. She began her career in oncology/hematology at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis and then returned to academia in 2004 to obtain her Master's degree in oncology nursing from Duke University in the great state of North Carolina. Upon graduation, she began working for The CBC Group, where she continues presently. Her practice consists of 13 physicians and fivenurse practitioners, all seeing a wide range of cancer diagnoses and hematologic disorders.  She is AOCNP certified and a member of the Oncology Nursing Society. She is the 2015 recipient of the Marc A. Lehmann Spirit of Service Award, recognizing excellence in Oncology care. She and her husband of 15 years have three beautiful boys, Benjamin 7, William 6, and Wesley 4.  She enjoys running, reading, traveling, and being with family.
