For those of you who were unable to attend the 38th ONS Annual Congress meeting last month in Washington, you missed quite a show. For those of you who did attend, you are probably still in awe over the level of professionalism, education, and social networking that took place all under one roof.
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend all of the education sessions taking place, but I did enjoy the fact that I was able to make my way around the conference center and get a glimpse into all things oncology. From attendees walking about making their way into session after session to others taking a stroll through the exhibit hall to check out poster presentations and a multitude of exhibitor booths -- career representatives were even available to discuss employment opportunities.
While on my walking tour, I decided to embrace the moment by snapping a few photos of congress attendees, posters, session speakers, and of course a couple of our ONC bloggers!
Before leaving the wonderful city of Washington, I decided to take one last tour downtown. While grabbing a coffee, a few runners popped in from the WE RUN DC half-marathon race. A couple of the ladies were dressed in purple from head to toe, all in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society -- they most certainly earned a spot in my camera, as well.
The posters shown here are only a fraction of what I was actually available to view. The level of knowledge, hard work, and professionalism was very evident in all of the posters presented.
