It's that time of year again -- time for the Oncology Nursing Society’s (ONS) 37th Annual Congress May 3-6 in New Orleans. This is the time of year when oncology nurses meet and greet one another and offer their knowledge, their experience, and a shared compassion not only for the profession, but for the oncology patient, as well.
This four-day conference is packed with information on treatment, technology, symptom management, patient education, survivorship, and leadership. Not only can you sit in on a wide range of conferences, but you can also walk around and check out poster presentations, visit a multitude of exhibit booths, or even watch live simulations of clinical situations.
All this education is great, but we can't forget about the importance of networking. This is a fantastic opportunity for oncology nurses from all around to come together in an effort to develop professional and personal relationships and exchange ideas. For those of you who are attending this year's ONS Congress, stop by TheONC exhibit (booths 1728 and 1730). We would like to meet our registrants, moderators, and bloggers. Stop by and bring a friend or two. We will have staff available to assist anyone who would like to become a member of TheONC.
