Recently, I got on Pinterest. Now, I'll be honest, I was a little leery of adding another potential time-suck to my life, but hey, I thrive on multitasking so off I went.
And I love it!
Pinterest, for those of you not of the Pinning-way, is a virtual pinboard. It lets you create boards on any and every topic you find interesting and it allows you to garner inspiration on those and other topics from other people on the site. You have to be invited to join by another member or request membership via Pinterest itself.
Now, before you think that Pinterest is nothing more than recipes and decorating, it can be much more than that. The topics are broad and can lead to people sharing the things they are passionate about -- philanthropy, careers, books, and healthy living. Or even the things that impact their lives like cancer and its treatment.
And that's where TheONC comes in.
TheONC plans on launching its own Pinterest page in the next few weeks. Pinterest is going to allow us to expand the content we share with our community. We'll have boards such as infographics, products nurses love, and inspiration for patients.
If you are currently on Pinterest, what would you like to see on TheONC's page? What sorts of things would you repin? Think of this as an open forum for you share some of your favorite (and least favorite) parts of Pinterest.
Here are a few groups I found that I thought were interesting.
Please feel free to share yours too!
